Making process: Prof Practice

With great influence from my textiles project, I have decided to take my idea with the Joseph Cornell shadowboxes and the concept of a memory box and combine the two. I quite like the idea of placing each of the small objects within their own little boxes to give them a sense of preciousness and help the viewer to be able to focus on each of the items in their own right. Because a lot of the items I have collected are roughly 2 cm in size, I have found that Smartie boxes are the perfect size for each of the pieces to sit comfortably and be shown on display if a window is cut out the front. Some of the items that I have been collecting include: lego, bingo numbers, game pieces, magnet letters, crayons, marbles etc.
